For Every Age and Every Path: College Early and Often

College planning doesn’t start in 12th grade — and it doesn’t look the same for every student. Join us in Oakland this March.

Our College Early and Often (CE&O) series continues this spring in Oakland, and we’re excited to invite families to two upcoming free, in-person workshops for K–12 students and their families.

At GO, we know there’s no single “right” path after high school — and that college and career conversations should start early, evolve over time, and reflect students’ unique interests and goals. That’s why CE&O offers tailored, age-appropriate programming so families with younger students, middle schoolers, and high schoolers can all participate and take something meaningful away.

📍 Upcoming CE&O Workshops in Oakland

Entrepreneurship Night
🗓 March 9
Students and families will work together to build a business idea from the ground up — from naming a business to thinking through profit, expenses, and leadership. This interactive night helps students see themselves as innovators while strengthening problem-solving and teamwork skills.

College & Career Exploration Night
🗓 March 23
This session will explore a range of pathways — from college to careers and trade programs — and show how different options connect to students’ interests, strengths, and goals. Families will learn how choices made along the way can open doors after high school, no matter the path a student chooses.

What families can expect:

• Open to K–12 students and their families
• In-person, interactive activities families do together
• Dinner provided
• Offered in English and Spanish (interpretation available)
